Opened in June 2023, the Royal Collections Gallery is a gem of contemporary architecture. Designed by Emilio Tuñón and Luis Moreno, the building integrates seamlessly into the Almudena skyline, creating a dialogue with the Royal Palace and the Cathedral.

This location is no coincidence. It is where Mayrit, the medieval origin of Madrid, was founded by Emir Mohammed I. Centuries later, this same site hosted the old Alcazar of Madrid, destroyed by fire in 1734 and later replaced by the Bourbon Royal Palace.
